British designer. Award-winner. Rare book and vinyl collector. Like his work, Kim Jones refuses to be restricted to a single label. Instead, he’s forayed into nearly every corner of the fashion world, building a reputation as the ultimate multitasker, and
appears to have no plans to stop anytime soon. In October 2022, Jones attended Vogue’s Forces of Fashion conference to discuss his inspiration, process, and hobbies outside of fashion.
Formerly the head of his own label, Jones has extended his talents to other luxury heritage brands, such as Louis Vuitton and Dunhill men’s wear. His extraordinary work has earned him multiple awards, including Designer of the Year at the Fashion Awards in 2021; however, his upwards trajectory indicates he’s not one to rest on his laurels.
Most recently, he has extended his talents to Fendi as their artistic director for haute couture and Dior as their artistic director for women and menswear. While previously known for his keen understanding of masculinity, his pieces uniquely appeal to female desire, making him one of the most well-rounded, in-demand designers today.

Throughout his career, Jones has never hesitated to collaborate with other designers, including Eli Russel Linnetz, for Dior Men’s Spring 2023 collection. His collaborations are largely inspired by a brand’s founder as an attempt to connect deeper with their vision and bring it to life in fresh, boundary-breaking ways.
While some believe that a life devoted to fashion leaves little room for anything else, Jones delights in doing the impossible. He’s an avid collector of vintage books and often uses his favorites as fashion inspiration (i.e., his first Fendi collection inspired by Virginia Woolfe’s Orlando).
It seems as though the best way to balance life and work, for Jones, is allowing the two to blend as fuel for unabridged creativity and passion.
True to form, Jones will showcase his pre-fall 2023 Dior Men collection this year. Following in the footsteps of his Fendi predecessor Karl Lagerfield, Jones understands he has pretty big shoes to fill, debuting over two dozen collections a year. However, instead of crumbling under the expectations, Jones thrives, exploring new territory and leaving an indelible impact on the fashion industry along the way.
